This policy explains what Dr. Phyo Paing AI (the iOS and Android apps and ai.drphyopaing.com) collects, how it is collected, what it is used for, and who it is shared with — including the third-party AI service that writes the AI's replies.
Account details you give us: your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and optionally a phone number and a profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name, email address and (Google) profile photo that service shares with us.
Settings you choose: app language, the language the AI replies in, your time zone (taken from your phone unless you pick one), the interests you pick when you start, and your daily-tip and reminder times.
What you create: your chat messages and the AI's replies; photos, documents and voice recordings you attach to a message; your AI memory — what you tell the AI about yourself, notes you add, and facts the AI picks up from your chats (these can include things you choose to share about your work, relationships or health); your habits and their progress; saved answers; and which posts and videos you have read or watched.
Payments: App Store subscriptions are paid to Apple; we receive the transaction record Apple provides so we can activate your plan — never your card details. For bank-transfer payments, we collect the payment slip you upload and the details on it so our team can verify the payment.
Device and technical data: a push-notification identifier (to send the daily tip and reminders you turn on), and the IP address and time of sign-ins, kept for security.
We use this information only to run the service: to create and secure your account; to generate the AI's replies and keep your AI memory; to keep your conversations, habits and saved answers; to send the notifications you turn on; to enforce your plan's monthly message limit and verify payments; and to answer support requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The AI's replies are written by Google's Gemini models, which we use through Google Cloud (Vertex AI). Google LLC therefore receives the data below. In the apps, nothing is sent to Google's AI until you allow it: the app explains what is sent and to whom, and asks for your permission before your first message. You can review or withdraw that permission at any time in Me › AI data sharing.
What is sent to Google's Gemini, and why:
Your email address, phone number, password and payment details are not sent to Google's AI. Please do not put passwords, bank or card numbers or identity documents into a chat.
Google processes this data on our behalf, as our service provider, to provide these AI features to us. It does so under the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum, which requires it to protect the data with security measures and confidentiality obligations that give it the same or equal protection as this policy, and under Google Cloud's terms Google does not use it to train its AI models.
Our administrators may manage the service through AI assistants — Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT — connected to our admin tools, for example to look up an account, check a plan or verify a bank-transfer payment. When they do, the assistant can read the records needed for that task: account details (such as your name, email address and phone number), your plan and usage, payment requests and payment slips, reviews you post, and security logs such as sign-in IP addresses. These assistants have no access to your conversations or your AI memory.
Anthropic and OpenAI process this data on our behalf under their business terms, which protect it at least as well as this policy and do not allow it to be used to train their AI models.
We also rely on these providers, each receiving only what it needs to do its job for us:
We keep your information while your account is open. Conversations and memories stay until you delete them. When you delete your account, your account and the data linked to it are erased; we keep only an anonymous note of why accounts are closed, with nothing that identifies you.
Connections to the service are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, files you attach to chats are kept in private storage, and payment slips can only be opened by the administrators who verify payments (including through the assistants described in section 4).
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and its date. If the data sent to the AI or the AI provider changes, the app will ask for your permission again.
